Civil Litigation & Appeal

Dispute is inherently intertwined with business relationship in modern times and as such, they are sometimes simply inevitable. Given the commercial nature of our practice, a great portion of our litigation experience arose out of representing clients with claims resulting from contractual relations which have gone sour. These suits are as varied as the agreements from which they arose. Handling disputes that arises in business relationship requires the skill of experienced, uncompromising and tenacious lawyers such as ours whose the sole focus is to protect our Clients at all times and ensure that their interest is protected. Where appropriate, we seek to resolve the contract disputes amicably and in a manner which repairs and rebuild the business relationship that exists between our clients and the other parties rather than further polarizing or destroying their relationships.

Our litigation practice ranges from the representation of sophisticated business clients involved in complex, commercial litigations to the defence of small, privately owned companies against diverse claims as well as pro bono work through which we assist those individuals and groups of limited means unable to afford quality legal services in matters including housing issues; civil rights claims; unemployment cases; micro-entrepreneurs; children’s issues and senior citizens’ issues.

Our litigators have extensive experience in the various State High Courts and the Federal High Courts throughout Nigeria as well as the Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court. We also work with law Firms in Europe, Asia and the Americas in matters that require foreign representations for our Clients in those continents.
