Iseoluwa Omolaja Abiodun-Johnson, ACIArb, LL.B (O.A.U), BL. Born on 12th October, 1964 as “Tunde Omolaja Ogun”. He changed his name to “Iseoluwa Omolaja Abiodun-Johnson” on 8th January, 2004.
Iseoluwa Abiodun-Johnson graduated with honours from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1989 and the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1990. He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1990 as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and has been in legal practice since then. He has over 22 years’ experience in legal practice and many of which was spent building up practice areas such as privatisations, company reconstructions, mergers/acquisition and energy matters particularly relating to electricity. His experience includes representing investors, buyers and sellers in a wide variety of transactions including mergers and other business combinations, recapitalizations, strategic and financial acquisitions and investments while guiding the Clients through complex legal issues.
He is a Member, International Bar Association (I.B.A), Section on Energy and Natural Resources; Associate, American Bar Association (A.B.A); Member, Energy Bar Association (E.B.A); Member, Nigerian Capital Markets Solicitors Association (N.C.M.S.A); Associate, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria and had served as a Director in the Ogun State Agricultural and Multi-purpose Credit Agency (OSAMCA), 2004 – 2008 and Ogun State Housing Corporation, 2008 – 2009.
He started his law career in 1990 as a Legal Officer in the Debt Recovery Department of Societe Generale Bank Limited. He later joined Messrs. Ogunsanya & Ogunsanya in 1991 as and was made Associate Partner in March, 1994. He resigned in June, 1994 to establish The Lawsmiths where he is the Managing Partner.
